TripleRainbowDash makes some of the sweetest ponies in the sculptiverse!

>Hey, TRD! Tell everypony a little about yourself.

:icontriplerainbowdash: I'm an amateur percussionist, shipping fanatic, and swimmer - aside from those things (and sculpting, of course), my life doesn't revolve around much.

>How did you stumble into the world of pony-sculpting?

:icontriplerainbowdash: Once upon a time, I wandered around the MLP Wiki and marveled at how appealing the characters looked - how could you overlook a pony with rainbow hair? - and I wondered if and how I could contribute to such a vast community.

I glanced to the side, seeing a dusty package of clay most likely bought during the Jurassic Era.

...You don't want to see the results.

I picked up some Crayola clay about three months later and gathered a bit of knowledge about sculpting, and what followed was a summer of much pony, Mountain Dew, and hilarious conversations with family members ("That's a horse?"). And here I am.

>You've cultivated a very distinct and adorable style along the way. What are your favorite materials these days?

:icontriplerainbowdash: I prefer Super Sculpey and a few tools I picked up from Michaels, along with an X-acto knife.

>How many ponies have you made so far?

:icontriplerainbowdash: About 30, not including my early attempts.

>What's the hardest part of the process?

:iconfeaturedartist: Making sure sculpts don't fall over in the oven!

>What are some of your favorite projects?

:icontriplerainbowdash: I loved working on Rarity- her color scheme has such a nice contrast.

>And how about non-favorite projects?

:icontriplerainbowdash: Honestly, I dislike working on anything larger than three inches because it limits how much detail I can do.

>Do you sell your ponies?

:icontriplerainbowdash: I'd like to!

>Do you have any big plans for future works?

:icontriplerainbowdash: I'm planning on making a large Seapony soon, along with a Celestia and Chrysalis. So many ideas, so little clay!

>Any advice for aspiring pony-sculptors?

:icontriplerainbowdash: Reference everything - even sitting poses! Don't be afraid to demolish something if you don't like how it's turning out. I definitely recommend purchasing :iconverdantsculpts:'s novel Creature Sculpt (www.emilysculpts.com/creatures…), too. It's worth every penny!

>Last one: Best pony?

:icontriplerainbowdash: Depending on the month, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, or Applejack.
